about

IN THE END I'M LEFT MEMORIES OF WHAT I USED TO HAVE FILLING A BUNCH OF EMPTY APARTMENTS is a concept album based on a screenplay I wrote which was originally called "Relativity". It tells the story of an artist named Cal living in Chicago who was previously in prison for drug and assault related offenses, but is now sober. The album starts off right after a bad breakup with his ex-girlfriend, Becca, and then continues through his relationship with a new, mysterious girl named Katy, who he comes to find out does not actually exist. In the meanwhile, Cal is trying to put together an installation piece for a big art fellowship. And to top off all that, he just found out he was getting evicted.

This album deals with the "manic pixie dream girl trope" in a very literal way, and examines the issues with idealizing people in relationships, and our inability to let go. I hope you enjoy it,and can relate to it in some way.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: This album contains trigger warnings for drug abuse and addiction, and psychological disorders.
