A NEW YEAR TO BURN AND GROW is an album about reflection and change. I often find myself dwelling in the past or in idealizations, trying to recreate some feeling that can never be recreated. This album is about trying to move forward from that place, and realizing that in order to make our lives what we truly want them to be, we have to be willing to let go of the past and embrace the present. I know this can sound real cliche, but it manifests itself in real experiences that all of us share. I've tried to use personal stories and thoughts that I've had to relay these themes. I hope that you like them, and I hope that you use them to give you the strength to burn and grow in your own life.
